I was born and raised in the DR Congo, in a large family of 11 Children. As a child, I developed a passion for sketching, and crafting toys for my younger siblings and myself.

I still have vivid memories the first wire frame toy car I built for my little brother and the wide smile on his face that day; it's that moment and similar ones that ultimately sparked the designer flame within me. When it came time to choose a college major, I decided to go with architecture for its rigor and versatility.

When studying architecture at UC Berkeley, I was gifted an iPad pro. Not able to afford a laptop, I had to make the iPad work for all my academic needs. This predicament was, to my surprise, a blessing in disguise. I was captivated by how novel and powerful Ipad apps were while they remained intuitive; being able to do my work just using an apple pencil in apps like Shapr3D, Concept, and Affinity Designer felt fun and delightful.

Even more impressive, I was able to teach my 5-year-old nephew how to build a chair using Shapr3D in just under 10 minutes! This experience showed me how transformative a great UX could be. It broke the entry barrier to architecture and allow me to do what I love most. Now as a designer, I want to give a similar opportunity to others by making their lives easier through intuitive designs.
